This is my first outdoor grow. Three plants all started inside about a month ago and i put them outside on may 16. I live in a swampy area and there are lots of bugs. I spray the leaves once a week with soapy water but the bugs keep coming back. None have done much to my plants yet though. I have several questions:

first, how can i keep pests such as deer, rabbits and bugs away without hurting my plants?

It rained alot the past few days and i heard to put mulch over the soil to catch some of the rain does this work??

and last for now, It hasnt been very hot lately, it was 45 and raining the other day, is this bad for my plants??

Please reply im kinda new to rollitup and to growing and need some help on some outdoor stuff.. Thanks

Theres things available like animal urine to keep some animals away, slug repellent's ... building chicken wire enclosure is good for rabbits but this can present a "possible sighting" by undesirables ...
try treating the plant with neem oil..too much soap may give you problems.. All these should be available at any garden center..

Forget the mulch..IMO

Outdoor plants are a shit load easier to grow than inside and they adapt well to the weather.. last year it rained 18 days out of 30 the 1st month they were out, water was running out the pot and I was freaking but the plant in my av turned out fine... Luck.:joint:

thanks i tried indoor but my plant turned male. Theyre all bagseed and the bugs seem to be around the plant but no damage to it. It will be 70 degrees and sunny for about a week now so they will start growing better.
