hi there this is the first post ive done and i hpoe it all goes well as im a bit shit on computer.lol
i've built myself a grow box that is 1.2x1.2x2.0 lined with white plastic. i am using a 600w hps lamp that is connected to a 250m3 ph extraction set up with carbon filter. i started out with some seeds that came from some weed i smoked so i was not even sure wot they were going to turn out like. i planted them in soil as i didnt want the hastle of growing in hydro or the expensive set up cost well it is if ur on a budget. (from now on the weed will be refered to as the girls.lol.) the girls spent there first 2 weeks under a 125w cfl (sorry 9 of them) they were growing well but as i have done some growing be 4 in hydro i felt there was something missing. i talked 2 some growing friends and some1 said about coco i looked into it and it seemed the perfect choice, passive hydro its great.i potted them up and changed the light to a 300w cfl. all this was done in a 0.7x0.7 cupboard 4ft high. my nutrients are canna coco a + b i also use root juice by bio bizz .there fed twice a day at a strength of 2ml per liter + root juice by this time they are 5 weeks old and about 30'' tall.they had started pre flowering even with a lights on 4 24 hours .now they are reaching sexual maturity,and i can see that they are female. i decide to take cuttings 2 from each plant there are seven plants showing there sex to be female and 3 that are male. all in all i end up with 6 female plants and 14 cuttings the cuttings go under a 125 cfl and the 6 females go into my growing box. my ph throughout is constaintly 5.8 and dont use a ec/cf meter as i start them on a low strength feed then increse it by 1ml per liter. and it works fine for me, inside my grow box is a 9'' ocisaling fan which is on 24 hrs a day. the growth at this stage is amazing and i can just put this down too the girls loving the amount of oxygen that the coco allows them to get. the root growth is so fast that when they where potted up the roots where back to the bottom of a 11 ltr pot in 5 days. now they where potted up i gave them two weeks to settle befor putting them into flower, i changed my lights to 12 hrs on 12 hrs off the ocilating fan is still on 24 hrs but the extraction goes off with the light and comes on for 15 mins every hr day time temprature is from 22-26 degrees centigrade night time temp from 15-18 degrees centigrade. my humidity ranges from 50% to 70% all this seems to work brilliant for me because the plants are now ready for CROPPING !!, oh yeh they where 8-9 weeks old when they went into flower. and now another 8 and a half weeks down the line, they are ready and here are some photos attached for you to have a quick look at, i have just started some BIG BANS 2s and will be starting a grow diary as soon as i get cropping out of the way. i hope you all find this interesting and i am still always learning something new from someone new. ta da
