Hey everyone. This is my second grow attempt. The first one didnt go so good because I had basically NO supplies. Just a 4' flourescent tube and some shitty 97 cent soil. This time around, I am good to go. My seedling is on its second set. However, I am noticing that the first set is losing some of its green color. Like its a bit lighter than the new growth. Anyone have any idea what this could be? Here is a picture so you can see what I mean.

Up until now, I havnt been feeding them just watering whenever the soil dries up most of the way and the daily misting. I use bottled water with a single drop of superthrive on the gallon. Could it be some kind of nute deficiency? The seedling is only on day 11 since it sprouted and the soil I am using is Scotts Premium Potting Soil, which as far as I know can feed the plant for quite some time. So maybe it could be the superthrive water? Until I get an answer I will switch back to watering and misting with clean water. Please help me out, I am worried about my baby!

If your soil alredy has some nutes in it I would ditch the superthrive. I would also add some perlite to your mix. A fluor light is fine for now just make sure it's nice and close to your plant. Maybe an inch or two from the top of your plant. Good luck!

Thanks. And I no longer use the flour tube. I have CFLS now. Two 30W and a 68W. I will ditch the superthrive for now then and see if there are any improvements.

I noticed that spot too. It looks like nuteburn but other than the superthrive, I havent used any nutes yet. Imma cut the superthrive off for now then. As for the water, I use bottled drinking water from the grocery store. And I dont think its the soil. I looked around several cannabis forums before buying it and most people said it was decent. It wasnt no ocean forest or happy frog but that it had the neccesary components to grow cannabis plants.

I have been trying to find some perlite, but walmart and home depot dont have it. I have to see if there is a hydro store near me that might have some.

keep it real.

super-thrive should never be used on a healthy plant, it should only be used once or twice in the plants life when its sick, it is very good and potent stuff, the last thing you want is an toxicity in a micro-nutrient. as for your problem im not really sure, tbh it does look like its hungry but there is noway it needs food yet i would check your ph i think your running into a ph issue causing some problems. i hope this helps.

Thanks for the advice. I have this PH meter that you just stick on the soil, it says the PH is neutral (7.0) but I dont know how effective it is. I think this is a little bit high based on what I have read on the subject. What do you use to measure your ph?

If it's one of those 2 prong meters from Home depot i'd throw it away. They aren'y very accurate and wouldn't want to ruin a grow based on what that meter says!

I don't ever check my ph. I grow in my own soil and use organic nutes only. Threw my meter out years ago. Also, I use well water. You may want to ask around here on what meter to get.
