Looks a little weird. I've seen them split like that before but never with that much symmetry. Also the color is a lot more yellow than I've seen them. Do they all look like that or just that particular fruit?

At least, your caps are splitting because the air is too dry, 90 to 95 percent is great, even 85 is ok but you will get some scaling and cracking.

You are pleading for problems using brown sugar and not sterilizing.

I had found widemouth jars before on the internet and you could also try Uniline or packaging companies, container companies, etc. Widemouth jars are harder to find. We used to use widemouth gallon jars for fresh milk that we had just milked from our milk cow. Then crappy plastic came about and started taking over the glass container industry because it was "more cost-effective" (fancy way of saying "cheap ass") than jars. Also try some antique shops, they might have some widemouth jars.

Walmart has them n the cook ware section. They have shit for canning/jaring there. Also acehardware has em. A flat of like 12 1/2 pint jars is like $10. Check ebay to. U.can get a shit load for super cheap if u look long enough.
