I'm going to be starting a tent grow in the next week and I need a little help with getting everything right. This is my first grow ever but botany runs in the family and I have great attention to detail so I'm semi confident going in. Got the grower's bible..a great read. Looking for people who have hands on experience that can help me get started. All replies are appreciated.
Here's what I'm thinking about using to start considering my price range of $700 - 1000....
4x4x7 grow tent
400 w mh/hps switchable
digital ballast
dwc/aeroponic/fogponic setup (already made this and it looks like it should work great based off what I've seen on youtube)
6" 200cfm exhaust fan w carbon filter
The grow will happen in the basement. I plan on venting the exhaust right out my chimney after being ran through the carbon filter. I'm trying to avoid intense odors inside my home and I'm hoping this method will work.
Will I need another high cfm inline fan for intake or will something more cost effective work? Will a 200cfm exhaust fan exchange the air in this 4x4x7 tent effectively to control odor? Will the temp get too hot in the tent if I do not vent through the light hood? Would a "cool tube" fixture best suit this application for ventilation purposes ?
I have so many questions even after doing numerous hours of research for things like this. If anyone has any ideas or advice they can give me, I'd greatly appreciate it. If you have anything to bring to my attention besides what I've asked in the post, please add to your reply. All advice is welcome and needed.
I'm sure I'll be requesting more help i the future...lol..lol
I need to get my medicine going...pain hurts!!!..lol..lol
