First time cloning, could use some opinions!!

I have all of the tools and equipment to clone.
1 humidity dome, rooting solution, scalpels, rockwool cubes, 3 healthy mother plants, and a heat pad. I don't want to fuck this up, so I need a little help regarding the storage of freshly cut clones. My biggest concern is the amount of light they need. Do I put the clone dome inside the same tent as my mother plants? I have 2 1000w LED lights in there and am worried that it would be too powerful for clones. Could I just keep them in a well lit room? And if so is there a light schedule I should follow? PLEASE HELP

I put my clones with my vegging plants in a corner that doesn't have that intense light. 18/6 or 24/0. I clone in coco.

Yes I'd put them in with the mums, you can put something over the prop lid to diffuse the light.

Heat mats and props get too hot without a temp controller especially for seedlings in something small like rock wool cubes/plugs I used aluminium coated bubble wrap to insulate it a little from the heat but a temp controller is a better approach.

I would go with whatever light schedule your mother plants are on.

I just use the oldest method been used since forever. Cut diagonal with clean sharp scissors. Straight into a small pot with water and sit on a windowsil. Make sure no light gets to where the roots will appear. Takes up to 3 weeks. Never had any fail.

Cloning is way easier than people think. I cut my clipping (no special angle etc) and stick the clipping directly into very moist soil. Put plastic wrap over the top to act as humidity dome. Foilar water twice a day for a week or 2 and place the plastic wrap back over to keep humidity high. After week or 2 remove the plastic wrap as you don't need the high humidity anymore. Make sure the soil is always moist and taper off the foliar watering to promote the plant drinking from the new roots. The most sunny window/room in your house would work perfect for the lighting. I literally just took 8 clones 2ish weeks ago and here they are all rooted and without the humidity dome (plastic wrap lol). Peace. These clones were taken in early flower and would not have reached the canopy. If I get a killer plant I have a backup. 1000008019.jpg

Well lit room will be perfect. Preferably a warm room.
