First time cloning, questions

Hey guys, I've got some 3 month old moms that are very much ready to take cuttings from (one's 2 1/2 ft tall and the other is about a ft tall and very bushy - two phenos of WW) and was wondering if I can get multiple cuttings from one branch, or if topping it would be good? Never cloned and to be honest it's making itself out to be more complex than it should be. Neither have been topped, but the tall plant is very vigorous.

This is going to be a sea of green being put into a 3x6 tray in 2x3 sections (3,6,9 week groups of 24) until I can get separate trays. I'll have 2x 600w HPS over them. I want to clone and root for 2 weeks, then transplant into 6" pots. Feeding would be GH Flora series. Do I risk burning the girls putting them into full strength nutes after 2 week rooting? Am I asking too much?

Thanks!

Hey guys, I'm coming up on 36h after cloning and everything's standing up rather well. Just finished expanding my area for my new table. Just wondering the best method to get my clones ready to be put into the table. I am still wondering if I root for 2wks and veg for a week in transition nutes if I can put it into the 3x6 with the other clones at full flowering strength, or will I get some bad burning?

Ott,
Be careful with the nutes. If you're talking about the manufacturers recommendations...they are almost always too high. What's wrong with starting at half strength?

And on the clone Mommas. Yes, you need to top then to encourage bushiness. Take cuttings/trim periodically even if you don't need them...as part of the training. The more you trim, the bushier they will get.

Thanks a lot guys, I took 20 cuttings Saturday night and I'm on day 4 now. Everything's perky and green but ofc it's too soon so I have no roots. Good point on the nute strength; I'd read that but hadn't thought of it. I had the res set to about 1100ppm (.5 EC) and 5.8-6.0 pH, about 7 gallons with some root enhancer and a tbsp of calmag as I let my last res run a week longer than normal to take my cuttings before a change. Moms got a bit of yellow in the tips, next time I'll cut the dosing by half.
