first time curing (having problems)

i just need some tips. so i tried 2 different ways. one batch i let dry allo the way and it just turned brown and looked like crap. Will the mason jars make it look better after a while?
The second batch i left the middle a little moist and now im having mold problems in the jars.
So what is the best way to cure?

what do you mean by all the way out? heres the process...Cut plants down, trim, hang upside down or on screen for about a week or until the stems make a cracking noise when you break them, then cure for about 2 more weeks in mason jars, or if you have a large quanity, storage totes works well. During the curing process try and just take the bud out and put back in jar 2 to 3 times a day, that makes even curing and drying. If the bud is still brown, then it might be the strand. Longer the cure, better the potency, taste, how good it smokes, and how happy it makes you! Hope this helps...
