First Time FoxFarm Ocean Forest User - Question

I'm about to become a first-time FoxFarm Ocean Forest user. Does it drain well enough on its own, or do I need to mix a little Perlite in with it?

Thanks

I have used FFOF and really like it. Adding some perlite does help and I have added FF light warrior to the mix which seems to help. Here is my mix.
FFOF - 2 parts
Light warrior - 1 part
perlite - 1 part

The one thing that I did just discover was the Air pots.( 3.5 gallon ) These things drain the best but are a little more than most containers.
Good luck

One other experience that I can share. When dealing with seeds, I find it best to use Light Warrior exclusively and than repot into base mix. (2-3 weeks after germination) I did try straight FFOF, Mix of FFOF & L.Warrior, and just Light Warrior. Not all but some seeds could not handle the straight or mix versions without stressing out a bit. It took me a few times to get it right and I hope my experience can shed light on using these products.

ocean forest as a well balanced fourmula with good water holding capability with good drainage. Obviously depending on how heavily water; will determine how much water to air ratio there. Ive used ocean for years and it works great!

Most everyone adds perlite - add about one quart perlite to four quarts of FFOF.
depends on where your at, if you live in the desert like i do you cut it 50/50 with coco, and add ewc and guano to make up for the dilution. you wont need to feed for a couple of weeks, ffof has great stuff in it. other things to cut it with are happy frog, or growstones. doesnt it already have dolomite lime in it?
