First time grow, any advice or tips to help with bigger bud production

Just wondering if you guys can see anything im doing wrong or any advice in general on what i could do to optimize the grow more. Started to flower them on the 10th of may with light at 12/12 light.

What you're going to see happening is the upper bud sites developing and not so much on your lower growth.
There is to much distance from the top of the plant to lower sites for adequate light intensity from your fixtures.
Training(lst or hst) of those unruly tops will help yield.

So would you just cut more off the undergrowth or try to bend and train the taller main tops down lower
 
If they were my plant, I would HST the top colas in an attempt to even out the canopy.
That will give you better uniformity.
 
Agreed. Bend and tie down the tall stems. If they won’t bend then supercrop them. Then lower the light and get more lights. oh yeah and be patient, look like it’s got some sativa in there.
