First time Grow - DWC. Pics and Update

Hey all--
Im posting an update on my grow... I should have just started a journal a long time ago... but... here is where I am it... 5 weeks into my Veg. First pic was 4 weeks ago when I almost roasted the babies to death... and the others are from Friday. Ive clipped some clones but I am having trouble getting them to root. I may send these off to the bloom room and start some new plants from seed. Not sure yet. 2 plants... lets hope they are girls! Thoughts?

looking pretty good and healthy. Got enough room to raise them lights some more because they will at least double in size more than likely during Flower.

Thanks... That is my veg. room. I have a separate room (5' x 4' x 8' high) for blooming with a 400w HPS. Lets hope the size doubles! I figure 2 more weeks and they go to the bloom room.

Update... 9 days into flowering under 400W HPS. These 2 girls (one for sure is showing) are going to be monsters! I am moving the light up every day.

Update... 2 weeks into flowering. My Chronic bitch has about 10-12 bud tops and is really showing her stuff. My one bag lady... the tall bitch... is not budding yet... but showing. She look to be more Sativa so it might take a little longer? All is going well. Im going to pick up some Kool Bloom this weekend. Give them a little boost! My room is approx 5' x 5' and these bitches are going to outgrow the room!

Wow!!! :shock: I hope I have as much success with my first grow. I'm just starting to get my supplys together. I have (2x)30 gal bins with (6x)5" net cups in each bin. I was looking at your set up and if im correct your using the same dual air pump that i have. (got it from walmart) I also have (2x) of the 14" air stones, from walmart also. I know i should have picked up double for the other bin but they only had one air pump :cuss:so i said i'll wait till they get more in. I have a few question if you don't mind... In your picture i see you have a 2 liter bottle, is that your co2 setup? And why if your afraid your going to run out of space, why not take your bin off the other bins? (cold floor?) Also i was reading through the tread and seen you said you use General Hydroponic nutes. Are you just using the three part Flora Series or something else with it? :confused: Sorry not trying to jack your tread i know i can be a little long winded, just trying to get the best results when i start my grow. Hey... Thanks for stopping over. (2) 30 gallon bins... nice set up... are you running a 1000W Bulb? The wal-mart pump works well... I have 2 of them. 1 per tote. I question if it will be able to handle 2 14" air stones. Try it out to be certain. Im using one 14" and one 6" stone. I get lots of nice bubbles. Yes.. the 2 liter bottle is for C02. It doesn't produce as much C02 as i would have thought, but hey... its better than nothing. My bins are now on the floor. I raised it up just to get it more centered in the room for temps. The bin is on the floor and the cool floor keep my res. nice and cool. Whenever I add H20, which is every other day, I put the water in the fridge to cool it down first. Couple weeks ago I had cooler temps in the basement. I use the 3 part flora series... plus Cal-Mag, Liquid Seaweed, and Dr. Thomas' Necessary Plant Energy. It seems to be working well. Dr. Thomas's seems to be a local favorite and found it really stabilizes the PH... and adds all this good stuff I know very little about but... my plants love it! Here is the sad update... I think im going to chop my one tall girl. I dont like the way she is growing and budding (or lack of buds). She is my bag lady. And now that I see how her buds are growing or not growing... I think i know what bag of shit weed she came from. I have 9 happy clones in my veg room... so I going to move 2 clone girls into the bloom room to keep momma happy. Ill post some new pics soon. The buds on my Chronic plant look sweet! This is my first grow... so im learn as Im growing. Any other questions.. fire away... and ill keep updating!

Well i was planning on getting (2x) 600 watt lumatek for $404 or (1x) 1k watt lumatak for $332... thats with taxes and shipping. But i have been having a hard time contacting the hydroponic shop i've been trying to purchase from. Well if you go do decide to chop your tall girl you should at least try to get some nice hash out of her, just a suggestion. Thanks Again:joint: ~Black SS

If you need a good Hydro shop I would suggest GTG Hydroponics. http://www.gtghydroponics.com/
They are super helpful with good prices. I have a 400W Lumatek and Its working out great. I have my ballast outside the room and it hardly gets warm and silent.
I may try the hash route with that bitch... but she will probably just give me a headache... since she has been trouble since day one!

Nice grow, wondering do those air stone disc/ pads work good at producing bubbles in a uniform distribution? Also, What wattage is the air pump you are using or the aquarium size recommendation? Thanks happy growin

Thanks... I use simple 6" or 12" airstones. I like the stones VS. anything with plastic... because they sink to the bottom of the res. I think they are all going to work the same. Make tiny bubbles. I have an extra tote for res. changes... all i have to do is set u my new res with nutes... move the stones to the new res and switch the plants over. EASY! Carry the old res out and dump it on the flower garden. Im using simple wal-mart pumps. They are rated for 30-60 gallon tanks, 2 outlets... and they cost $10.00. I have 2 of them, one in my bloom res... and one in my veg res... and they are doing something right. Good Luck... Good Growing. Ill post some pics of my clones... they are rocking out. Im going to move one into the Bloom room this weekend.

Sure.... I will snap some pics tonight. Its very easy and simple. My biggest problem to date... is my plants are big and heavy and have fallen over or though the top of the res. Ive had to use bungie cords and duct tape. It seems to working.

Day 29in the Bloom Room. Pictures of the Bloom Room. Buds are looking awesome. Pics attached of the Veg too. I moved one of my clones into the bloom room. She is in the mini tote. I have 6 clone girls in the veg room. 3 in a bubble tote.. 3 in Soil. The bubble girls are bigger!! They are dying to get int the bloom room.
