First time grow,,,help!!!!

Hey RIU guys an gals,

I have a little predicament and was wondering if all you pro's out their could throw some knowledge my way. I live in so-cal and got a few free clones back in early december and decided to put those babies in the ground,(Didn't have anything to loose, and at the time didn't have any indoor equipment.) And basically what happened is that they poorly vegged for 3-3 1/2 months not getting big at all, but still growing. So now its about to be early april and my girls are only 19 inches tall and are already in the very beginning stages of flowering. So i went out and bought myself all the equipment i would need for a n indoor setup.( 600w mh/hps light, 2 6' inline fans, carbon filter,fans,mylar,e.t.c) So basically my question is what is the best way to go about transitioning my girls to go inside. Any an all feedback is greatly appreciated. Thanks RIU!!

I don't know man. After 3 plus months outside I think they would have a pretty extensive root structure by now and you don't have any way of knowing how far/wide they go. My best advice would be to do at the least, a 2 foot circle around the plants base and hope you don't cut any roots. Go as far down as possible and well, hope you don't fuck it up! If you want that girl to keep flowering, I suggest you move fast as the daylight hours are getting longer which will put your lady back into veg. Why not leave her outside, take some clones and use them for your indoor grow?

If your in so Cal, I would just leave the clones in the ground alone, and find some other clones from somewhere like Craigslist or Co-op,or clone from the girls you put into the ground. It would be a big hassle trying to transplant from ground to a pot. Plus the plant will go into serious shock doing this, and if it did survive, it would take a long time to recover.

I agree removing them would be a hassle and would probably just result in shock or death. Leave them in the ground and let em grow out they might turn out good who knows? Your best bet is to get some new clones and plant them outside after "hardening" them off. Simply grow them under some CFLS until there are ready to go outside and than put them outside for a few hours keeping an eye on them and bringing them back indoors and repeat keeping them outside longer and longer or build like a minigreenhouse so they don't get too cold until they are sturdy enough to grow outdoors exclusively.
