First Time Grow Please Help Building a Grow Cabinet

Ok my grow cabnet is 4x4x18 deep, i would like to grow clone flower.... And keep the prosses going. My first time growing, would like help on any and everything.

I am guessing you will go with CFL's if not go with HPS. Get 3 or 4 60 true watt cfls. Or get one 400 watt hps. get two small fans one blows in and one out. The more heat the light/lights put off the stronger fan you will need. I would go with soil as its your first grow. Organic soil. (No Fertilizer Beeds.) I would go with an organic nutrients. Mix as labeled as I do not think you will mix your own organics without problems. Get a ph kit. Use non chlorine water. Good luck.

if 18 inches your height you are screwed.

No 18 inches deep 4 foot high, what should i do for the walls? I have read about tin foil and white paint.

white paint dose well....foil give hot spots(never happened to me but makes sense)start them flowering at about 1 ft or 1 foot an 1/2 plant will double in size during flower + you need room for the lights..................is that 4 feet including the light bulb space?

These should always be an option over cfl's, they come in two foot and four foot with 2/4/8 tubes. For short grows or veg these babies rock, not as quite as good as mh/hps for light penetration but a dam site better than led and cfl's, just plug this unit in and grow, a small fan is enough to cool the grow room with these. I veg with these and most people have similar setups for the veg room. This is a worthwhile investment moneywise as well. Watt for watt they are suppose to equal hps but that is because they can cover a lot bigger area, 400watt of these would give you some decent amount of bud but would never fit them all into the grow tent! it has finally come to the time that I can recomend looking at LED lighting, for a small box they eliminate the cost and noise of high volume fans to keep the space cool. I've been watching some grow journals recently that have blown me away.

Wouldn't bother for a first time grower, keep it simple, yes led's do great grows and the technology is getting there but not for the first time, keep it simple, flouros then maybe hps, most do it this way. Led's last forever though so no maintenance costs or new bulbs.

near impossible in a single box.

It could, i just have the frame built for now, how many plants do ya think i could fit in that box?
