first time grow questions

hi i recently moved to cali and got my medical paperwork. i just successfully germinated and sprouted a mekong high femenized seed and also acquired two ken's GDP clones. i am planning on growing them all in containers on my back patio. it gets TONS of light out there so i'm not worried about that. here are my main questions / concerns

1.) just letting nature do its thing - is just letting the sun take care of them enough? do i have to worry about high winds? i've also read that problems like spider mites won't be that bad if i plant some onions, garlic, or lavender in the same pot or nearby (which i'm planning on doing)

2.) instead of commercial nutes (except a bloom booster i'm planning on using in the fall.. i.e. molasses or similar) i'm planning on just throwing some eggshells and coffee grounds in with the plants. i've done this for my roses, blueberry bush and strawberries and they all seem to love it! has anyone else tried this? i'm trying to go a more organic route as opposed to using chemical nutrients.

3.) neighbors etc... it says on my paperwork that i have the right to "cultivate" but if one of my neighbors smells my plants can i still get in trouble? i live in santa clara county. i don't think this will be a problem but i'm also a little paranoid.

4.) even though my seeds were "femenized" can they still turn out male?

5.) some of my plants don't mind having their roots touched when i repot them. actually breaking up the root ball a little is good and promotes growth. is cannabis the same? it seems from the info i've gathered that i should NOT touch the roots or disturb the plant at all when i repot.

6.) the heat.. i've gotten a little mixed response here. been told they love hot weather. but it gets REALLY hot here in the summer.. as long as i make sure the soil stays moist will my babies be ok?

sorry if this is all a little much but i will appreciate the feedback greatly. also, i think i will post pics soon for all to see and give feedback.

also trying to germinate an aphrodite seed and a kandy kush femenized seed. before i sprouted the seedling by putting the seed straight in soil and watering. but i didn't have a high success rate so now i'm just starting the seeds in a cup of water till they sprout and then going to move to a pot... good idea? bad?

thanks in advance for any feedback.

Welcome to NorCal. You moved to the weed mecca of the US. San Jose hahahahahah Your shit is gonna turn out great with everything you stated so far. It ain't TOO hot in San Jo. It gets wayyyyyy hotter out in the central valley over the mountains and hills to your east.

You're in good hands.

And as for your neighbors, if the cops ever showed at your door, have your paperwork, and ID. Stick to your rights, and I doubt you have any issues anyways. Cops out there know the State Laws pretty good when it comes to sb 420 and 215. Just a heads up there is a dispensary called "emerald crossings" off of 880 and gish rd. Clones are only 7 bucks and they are excellent. The chem 4 is excellent. And if you go to the City at all. Igzactly 420 is a pretty dope club. Vaporizer volcano lounge free of charge.

and as for starting seeds bro, the best way is to put them in a damp paper towel and in a ziplock bag in a drawer for a few days. That or the cup of water. But the paper towel works best IMO. Those fem seeds usually stay female but I've had ones that were dwarf plants. Wierd genes. I suggest you stick to clones if you're in that neck of the woods.

sounds great! thanks a bunch. i'm actually in the morgan hill / gilroy area. i think it gets a little bit hotter here in the summer than in SJ. i paid $12 each for my clones, but i figure in the end it will be well worth it. also, major thanks for dispensary info. its very hit or miss... luckily weedmaps reviews are fairly useful.
i'm kind of excited to have at least one mother plant but yes, the clones seem a bit easier so far.

^^^ hes right on the dot. but the fem plants will also hermie due to the process used to "make" them "feminized". stick to ur script and u shouldn't have no legal problems. but be sure to check ur local ordinance or if ur brave enough ask a sherriff and they'll be able to answer any of your questions. organic nutes is certainly a good and cheap way of feeding them, as long as u know what ur feeding them. and I generally like the idea of planting garlic and or onions around the plants. it might help fend off pests such as mites and thripes but throws out a scent that covers the mmj to a degree. might attract deer or rabbits tho bein green and smelly and healthy.... idk now my curiousity is peaking around that subject...:dunce:

don't have to worry much about wildlife since my patio is up on the second floor. what are some good precautions to take to avoid my plant turning hermie?

not that all fems hermie, but if u take care of them the best as possible and don't let them stress ever at all the chances are reduced. but if it was a bad breed it will be genetic regardless what u do.. also had not noticed before u said on ur back patio lol im sure the garlic would effect them in some manner, whether its good or bad is the test ;)
