First time grower [Bush weed]

Ok, so I've got some seeds and I may as well plant them! I don't know what they are or whether they're any good.

I live in WA - Australia.

I basically want to plant these and let them grow with minimal contact from me i.e. I only want to be checking up on it once or twice a week.

I need some advice on the following subjects:

1. Location, what kind of location should I be looking for?
2. Soil, Australia has got some pretty poor soil so I was wondering what I should put in my potting mix.

My plan is to sprout the seed and then transfer it to this location.

My mate thinks I should use some chicken wire around the plant and a dripping watering system of some sort so I don't have to go to where I plant them everyday.

ah another west aussie! welcome

you do realise that you have kind of missed the season, ppl are pulling plants right now,
a few other aussies myself included are goin to try winter growing this year, but i cant
imagine the plants will be anywhere as good as ones grown over the summer,

maybe if u veg em indoors for a month or so then maybe take em outside to flower
it would be okay, but if u put a plant outside now, it will flower immedietly as daylight
hours are down to 12/12 now....
