First time grower. Could use a little help :-)

Hey All,

Need a little help with my first grow and was hoping I could find it here. I will be as precise as possible up to my current knowledge.

Equipment:

- 90x90x180cm tent
- 3 x CFL unit (used for first couple of weeks after germination )
- Blackstar 240w / 3w LED
- 6 x 8.5 litre Autopot (bottom watering) hydroponic system
- 47lt nutrient tank
- Canna Coco soil & Perlite 50/50 mix
- 100mm/4” Rhino Filter kit (includes fan)
- Clip-on fan (for moving air around)
- Air pump + Air stone in tank
- Nutrient tank heater
- Oil heater (inside tent)
- Ionic Coco Grow & Bloom

I am about a week into flowering stage I seem to have a lot of dead yellowing leaves around the bottom. I have included some photographs below.

Questions:

1/ Temperature – I have been keeping the temperature at a constant 25 degrees (day and night) and the feed in the tank is also kept at a constant 25. I have the extractor/filter fan on full, and compensate with the oil heater to keep the temp at 25. Although the heater is right next to the plants, I have created a mylar shielding panel in between them. Does all this sound ok?

2/ Watering – Do I just keep them constantly wet (due to the nature of the bottom feeding system), or do I sometimes turn the tap off to give them a dry spell?

3/ Nutrients – I have been using Ionic Coco nutrients from the start. I am currently using the Bloom version, and I am using it at half the indicated strength. Do I keep upping the strength as I go along, or is half strength fine right till the end?

4/ Size of pot – The Autopot system has two size pots 8.5 litre & 17 litre. I am using the 8.5 litre. Is this big enough?

5/ Spraying – I quite often use a spray to keep the plants dry. Is it ok to use the water out of the nutrient tank, or should I use clean 5.7-6.0ph water, or not at all?

6/ What the hell is wrong with my plants?

I let the water sit outside for a week to get rid of chlorine. After that, I add the half strength nutrient and then the PH comes out at around 5.7 to 5.9. I have used ‘PH Down’ a couple of times on previous watering sessions during veg state. I have never flushed the system. It is a total stealth system, so I can only do a large operation like that once a week if needed.

They had a long veg state of about 8 weeks due to getting ripped off with a shitty Chinese import UFO 135W LED. I only switched over to the Blackstar at the start of Flowering.

Please help as I really don’t know what to do.

Thanks in advance.

(3) half sounds good but let the plants tell u that they need more b4 upping the dosage

(4) Yes

(5) Clean if u have to/ wnat to do it, go without see what its like then start again if u dont like the results
