First time grower here, 4 weeks into flower….now mold?

Hey all

My first ever grow and its a clone of Godfather OG. I’m roughly 4 weeks into flower and everything is getting covered in trichomes….but I’m seeing some more dense patches that may be an issue. Does this look like PM or is this just dense patches of trichomes? Also, no signs of powdery mildew on the main stem or branches. Help!!!

Yah that looks like mold/pm.
I grew some godfather clones along with some wedding cake clones. The godfather got pm but not the wedding cake.

How is your Temp and RH - High humidity will do this?

Humidity is around 62ish and temps are 70-80.

if this is PM, is my plant junk now?

Looks like more than just normal trichome stalks and balls. I am seeing smaller intermingling hair/fuzz structure.

Try a cotton swab and peroxide on it.

My only problem is that I can’t tell if it’s on the buds or not because the trichomes are so thick. What do you recommend?

That's PM, and no, your plant is not junk. I have had tremendous success spraying one tablespoon of potassium bicarbonate, one teaspoon of olive oil, and one teaspoon of Castile soap in a gallon of water. Just put it in a garden sprayer and spray your plants. It seems to work on botrytis as well.

Since you're in flowering, it'll turn the pistals red but will have no effect on the trichomes. At harvest, I gently dunk and swish the buds around in room temp water to remove the PM residue. Here's a pic that shows the effect it had on PM, before the dunk and swish:

Received my amazing Dr zymes today and did a foliage spray before lights out. Hoping I can salvage something! Don’t want my first ever to be a total waste.

I made it 2 weeks into flower my first grow & balls popped up everywhere. Total waste but I was still excited to pop more seeds & start over. Lessons learned is whats most important for #1 Good luck & great job so far bud.. hope Dr Zymes works.

Milk one part water ten parts. Spray after lights out, may need to rinse off after a few applications.
