First time grower needs advice on light schedule

Hi guys,

I have done extensive research on growing weed, and after 2 months of research, i decided to grow for the first time.. i am currently growing in a rubbermaid grow box with 6 CFLs (4 warm white and 2 cool white) and the rubbermaid covered in mylar, 4 120mm PC fans (2 intake/2 exhaust)..

i have germinated 7 seeds (mixed strains) since 10am yesterday and some of the seeds germinate faster than the other.. as soon as a significant root is showing on an individual seed, i plant it into soil leaving the others to continue to germinate..

Right now i have 1 seed planted at 11am today, and i have just planted 3 more seeds that just germinated at 8pm.. i still have 3 more seeds germinating..

my question is, how do i figure out the lighting schedule for the seeds as they are all planted in different times? do i follow the 18/6 schedule following the first seed i plant? or should i just keep it going 24/0 till the last seed planted has at least 18hours of light? is there anyway to "sync" the light schedule for all the plants as i plan to grow all 7 plants in this grow box?

please help as I am getting worried that this is going to go bad..

You have nothing to worry about. They will be OK in a few weeks you won't see much difference in size. You can put them on 24/7 or 18/6 to start. Once you are ready to flower change to 12/12. Hope this helps.

ya your too stressed over a simple issue. i dosnt require that kind of precision. you can start all your seedlings at 18/6 or 24/0 without worying about the rest of them catching up.

its good to see someone who has don their homework, you just need to my # piece of advice

keep it simple

thanks for the help guys.. i appreciate it.. i guess will keep it on 24/0 the first few days and then will start 18/6.. thanks again.. :)

if your seeds sprout during the dark,in the beginning of light or half way through it doesnt matter put them on the existing cycle and they will fall right in they can start night together as well as day at the same time now they are on same schedules

yuppers you are getting good advice here! I dont' do 24/7 but 18/6 for veg and 12/12 flower, you can go 12/12 from the start too. It's the light cycle that sends the plant into flower, so keep it at least 18/16 until you are ready to flower. And you can just plant the newly germed seeds in with the others and they will adapt to the cycle, as previously stated in the post above mine.
Cheers
