Hello,
Been following this site for a while and have learned a lot, but definitely needing some knowledge and help with my first grow.
For specifics on my grow, in case that helps with specificity of the advice given, my grow supply is as listed.
-32"x32"x63" YieldLab grow tent
-Advanced Platinum Series P450 450w 12-band LED Grow Light - DUAL VEG/FLOWER FULL -SPECTRUM
-3 gallon smart pots
-Fox Farm Ocean Forest mixed with 30% perlite
-Decent carbon filter/fan combo
-3 KC 45 autoflower seeds (not feminized)
-1 Automazing autoflower seed (feminized)
I am a few days from 4 weeks since I planted the seeds into the soil, and being a first time grower, I've made almost every mistake I could in the start of the grow period. However, the plants seem fairly healthy to me.
Apparently, I did not bury the seeds deep enough, as they popped up out of the ground and 2 of them (KC 45s) still had the full seed casings on them. I used a pair of tweezers and pulled the seed shells and the membrane off. Though they started off as if they were dead, they appear to have revived, but have weird looking leaves and are only about a 1-2 inches tall, while the KC 45 that did not need the seed casing pulled off is about 7" tall and looks like it is doing very well.
Since I started out in such a large pot, I started off with small circles of water around the seedling and slowly expanded and provided more water as they became larger. No nutrients have been used so far, but have ordered the Fox Farm triple nutrient set for when the flowering starts. The 450W LED light is currently 30" from the tops of the plants.
Would someone mind telling me if the stunted plants are worth keeping, especially considering there is a chance they could be males, or do you think there is enough of an odd for them to actually produce some bud, no matter how much. I am currently working in a country where prices average 100 dollars a g, so any yield is a win for me.
If you could also offer any advice on the plants that appear to be doing well, please let me know. I know some folks LST their autoflowers, but I do not want to ruin my first grow with a failed attempt. Also, I should be learning the sex around week 4
