FIRST TIME HYDRO need some advice,ebb and flow

been growing in soil for a year now and now im switching to hydro,i have a 3m3 tray thats about 2.5m x 1.2m with 2 600w hps and i plan on instaling a light mover later,my question>is it better to go with more smaller plants or less bigger ones that i can veg longer and suppercrop or top and what size pots should i use,iv been using 3g pots in soil will plants grow to a same size in 3gallon pots in hydro in clay pellets or is there a difference

you can certainly grow same size plants in a smaller basket in a flood table as 3gal pots, in the soil pots the roots only have so much space to fill, with flood tables the roots will come pouring out of the bottoms, how about 3ft tall plants in 2inch net pots? as for less plant and more veg time, thats up to you. only difference is if you have the clones ready you can put them into flower sooner since your looking at less yield per plant, but more plants will cancel everything out

so whats the ration between soil and hydro meaning the pot size would a 1g pot in hydro ebb and flow like this give enough root space to grow a same size plant as a 3g pot in soil,or is it more like 2g soil - 1g hydro
