Hello all I am another newbie. I have tried growing before and had a few decent plants with a setup kinda what I'm working with now. My MH light that I had at the time went out like 3 weeks before the plants were done. It looked & smelled like some good bud & it had a few seeds in it so I saved a few. I also had a few seeds from other good bud that I've had. So that brings me to where I am now. I wasn't gonna go thru with it, cuz I put like 20 seeds in a paper towel to germ. and for the first week I didn't have any luck. Finally 4 cracked & gave me a little hope. Take in consideration these seeds have been in a container for the past 2-3 years, so they might take a little longer to get going. They have been buried for 2 days now and still no sign of life, but I have faith that they will pop up.
Now to my setup, I don't have any pics as of yet, but as they grow I will post some. I have a 5 gallon water tub, low profiled one w/ a 2x4 cut to fit across it long way, 2 small strips of white paneling w/ 3 holes in each, 6 small pots filled 50/50 Perlite & Vermiculite. I have a half of a napkin in the bottom of each w/ a 2 pieces of nylon rope going thru the holes in the bottom that feeds out of the reservoir, & a small 10-20 gallon air pump for fish tanks w/ 12 in airstone. White paneling around the walls w/ 400 Watt MH hanging above it. I know I should probably start with flou. tubes, but dont have any, so for now I'll just hang it higher and wait to see what happens. And also have a small fan blowing air exchange in there. I will post pics shortly, so you have a better idea. It's nothing fancy, but it's worth a shot I guess. And if all goes well maybe I'll exchange the bagseeds for some Dank Seeds. I would like to try to keep these plants short and stocky, but not knowing the strain or genetics I may have some issues. I'll keep posted.
