Hey guys, I'm sorry if these questions have been asked a million times and yes I did do a very thorough search on here, on other forums and on google but could not find a true answer. So here are my questions because I just built a net/trellis out of PVC and some strong twine but since I have never used a net before I have a few questions. First off I grow in soil, in 3 gal finishing pots and my plants typically finish at about 2.5-3' tall from the top of the container to the top colas. It's just a small personal grow, typically 4 plants in a 3x4 screen. My question is since its a single net/screen how far away do i want the net above the tops of the containers? I have seen everything from 4" all the way to 18" so I need a general consensus of where the net should be from the top of my pots/containers. Second question, once i have the placement of the net where it should be, when do i flip into flower? Do i let them veg until they reach the screen then flip? Do I let them grow to just below the screen and flip? Do i let them grow up and above the screen and then flip? If this is the case, how tall do i want them above the screen/trellis before i flip to 12/12? Last question.... Do you lollipop everything that is below the screen? If that is the case it would seem that I will need my net pretty low or else with only 2.5-3' tall plants I will have some long ass legs/branches with very little buds up top. Thank you for any advice and help I really appreciate it! Again I am sorry if these questions have been answered but from seeing other growers setups they all seem to have much larger plants (7 gal containers all the way up to 15 gal containers) and they have a double net set up so that doesn't help me much. Any info would be great! Peace!
