First time trying a 3000w LED

Hi there.

I have been growing for a few years now and normally use a 450w LED.

I recently changed this to a 3000w LED part way through from Veg on the old one, into flowering on the new one.

First time I've really seen this amount of yellowing on the leaves and just wondering if should harvest now or leave them a bit longer.

A Bestva 3000W is actually drawing around 600W. Was your 450W also similar just a smaller light?

Thanks for the reply Powertech, the 450w was a tiny bit smaller and a good bit dimmer, this one if I want to look into the tent I need to use the supplied shades as its like opening a portal to the sun in comparison to the old one.

What size tent are you using? If that is a 3x3, yeah that is a lot of power for that size tent. I have a 2000W (500ish actual) AGLEX that i use in my 3x3 VEG tent, and i only use the Veg switch which turns on the 4 5000k COBS.

With surface I meant: Is it on a 3 x 3 or 4 x 4 or what.

I am not an exert on Led but often those kind of lamps give a wattage that is not what they consume.
the manufacturers want to pretend that it is equal to a traditional light like HPS of a certain wattage.
But even then... 3000 is outreagous.

Johnny Lawrence if you have something valid or intelligent to say, I'm all ears. If all you want to do is throw insults, please do us all a favour and just don't post.

My suggestion is that you educate yourself. Again, why did you not bother to look at the actual specs of the light you were buying?

Thanks Keesje, I do realise they often claim much higher, just thought Id make it clear its a much brighter LED compared to my old one.

The actual wattage according to the review I linked is closer to: 615 watts

And yes I can see upon some further checks they do recommend a bigger grow space than I'm using at current. Back to the original question. Based on the above pictures do you think its worth harvesting now or still giving them some time?
