First time using the "new" waterfarm module (it sucks :) )

So ive used both single and the 8 pack waterfarms in the past. Just recently needed some additional and ordered the waterfarm modules to make my own. I realized when they arrived that they are re designed with the air hose attaching at the top now instead of inside the tube at the bottom on the older ones.

My problem is I run the Alita al40's and Alita al80's. These are commercial powerful air pumps. What is happening is with the air hose attached at the top it just pushes all the water out of the bottom of the module and making massive bubbles in the bottom of the bucket. I am 100 percent certain everything is connected right and a with solid connection. I can hear and feel air coming out of the drip ring but no water at all.

I feel like the hole in the very bottom of the module is to big and with a strong air pump it just pushes all the water out through the bottom. What I am planning to do is try to attach a pvc ball valve at the bottom so i can close it almost all the way so the water will still go in but the air pump wont be able to push the air out through the bottom so easily and hopefully it will come out through the drip ring instead.

If anyone else has any idea or has had this problem with a successful fix please reply looking for a fix currently.

i have 4 of them, all have the airhose at the top of the drip ring

i bought dual output airpumps (nothing too huge) and run one to the drip ring and one to a airstone when roots hit the bottom res. each outlet is adjustable

what do you mean the outlet is adjustable? The piece on the very bottom with the spikes on it? Can you turn that to close the hole up some? I tried by hand it wouldnt turn i didnt try with pliers or anything... Or do you mean adjust the airflow on the air divider? I tried that all i could get was a very slow drip or nothing. The slow drip is stopping after a while and it just shoots air.

no, my dual outlet airpump is adjustable. i keep the outlet for the drip ring about half open and the other outlet for the airstone full open.

Got this resolved. Im not sure if the pumping column was for a different product but it was taller by around 4 inches and had a different color water level tube holder than the others i just bought. I switched it out with one of the others the shorter ones and it works fine for a couple days now. Can delete thread if you want. Thanks
