I really would appreciate some feedback from some experienced artists out there. (Forgive me, I can be a little wordy.)
I haven't grown any plants in like 22 years. Back then, I was definitely far from a professional grower. We just still had seeds in our $20 per eighth herb. I would just plant seeds, hope that they weren't male and normally top them two to three times. I had an accidental supercrop kind of thing once because of a snail, but I definitely didn't understand what had happened and had never heard that word. We definitely didn't have the internet as a resource either.
I've recently set up a little greenhouse in my backyard and have 6 different strains in it. I have some low powered LED lights from Home Depot in there to get more daylight hours in the middle of winter (or the SoCal equivalent of winter).
I can totally see how 6 different strains is a little difficult and not optimal, but I was excited. I've been doing my best to try and even out the canopy because I got clones from a few different sources at different times and I wanted to try level things out before I let the natural 12/12 days take over and flower the ladies.
There's so much information on the internet that I think I got a little carried away trying to mix and match.
I've been topping, tieying down branches, supercropping /bending branches. I'm a little concerned that I'm abusing my poor plants a little too much. Anyways, I'm getting much closer to where I wanted to start the flowering phase with a nice even canopy (I know each plant will flower differently).
So as I get ready to flower in the next few weeks, should I be setting up a scrog net? I'm feeling pretty sure that I've set up lots of colas or soon to be colas. Will the scrog do anymore for me than what I've already done? Do I need it just to support buds if I get lucky and grow a few winners?
Again thank you in advance for any feedback that you guys can offer.
