Hola folks thanks for stopping in. I am a legal medical patient here in the Big Sky and I am starting (finally) my grow op. I am a construction contractor and remodeled two rooms and bath into on large room, bath and Walk-in closet. it is pretty stealthy even though it need not be. hidden sliding door in the back of a smaller closet and (soon to be) mirror/door for the other entrance. It has been a life-long goal to do this so I am very excited and wish to do things right. I am also up for experimentation and hope to have fun most of all. so let me walk through my setup first.
Lighting - I am using a Dual 600W switchable lumatek ballast wired solely for 220v-240v Currently I have one side providing MH light (sunmaster) for the veg room and the other side providing HPS (Ushio) for my Flower room. My intent is to move both lamps into the flower room and run both as HPS as soon as more of my plants mature. Also I am staging plants at about 2 week intervals so that I will have new harvest approximately every 2 weeks... forever hehe. I would then possible veg under some T5 tubes... maybe get a 400w MH... input would be awesome. I am looking to keep shorter bushy girls around.
I have both lamps enclosed in Hydrofarm Daystar AC hoods vented with two 500 cfm Inline can fans. ($30 at lowe's) not the best but i figure i got about 350 cfm out of them and they are cooling sufficiently during the cooler weather. I am sucking outside air through the hoods and into the vented crawl space.
I also recently put a fresh air in/out in my flower room wich also lowered temps by about 4-5 degrees, before this i was just leaving the door open with a fan. to further lower temps I moved my ballast running at around 120 degrees outside the flower room. seemed to help another degree or two, especially with the door closed.
I am using Fox Farm Ocean forrest and the complete FF nute package. nutes every other h2o and ph ing my h20 at about 6-6.5 with litmus drops. soon to get a digi meter but seems to be close enough for the girls. Also forgot running veg room 20-4 and flower 12-12. also lots of love, everyday.
Now for the girls. My caregiver (in march 10 high times) brought me 2 White widow, one Trinity, and three Pineapple Punch. All Clones. Only the Trinity was rooted in some sort of cube. The others were straight up dipped and stuck in soil for me. I lost all three PP due to high heat the first night in their new home, direct light i think also fried them. so sad. one almost made it. anyways the trin took right off and is now in it's first week flower and showing small buds after 8 days. The WW were slower to root and one was about 5 days behind the other, now both doing beautiful and even took a clone from the older of the two which i am happy to report is doing just fine. A friend of mine gave me a TrainWreck clone (hopefully TW, they had some difficulties keeping them in order and it could be just about anything )
That makes five.

Enter random bag seed. possible 6 yr. old seed from a grower friend i had in high school. hippy strain his parents passed down. we nicknamed it G spot. I dub this seed wanna-g. usually i germ in paper towels, this time i was just so sad over the PP that I just stuffed it in the dead ones site and h2o. 5 days later i was very i was excited to see a little one pop up. now this one is kinda cool, it has been growing just fine except for a nasty N burn i gave her (Hopefully) during the first two weeks. It is pretty stalky at 4 weeks. Ten inches, 9 leaf sets and has it's first fully developed leaves, i think. I think it's a girl, will need a little more time to tell. The interesting thing with this one is that on its fully dev. leaves, there are 9 "leaves" and then it has another "leaf" coming out on top of the original leaf. Now that is an odd description but see the photo (more to come as well) Now i am hoping that this is kinda rare and will allow me, or do I mean you, to identify it easily or at least narrow it down. It is pretty cool though as i have never seen a leaf like this. Now i am not a seasoned vet but have seen a fair share. wow enough talky talky now some pics. and I might do this in a couple posts to show the progression of my room. also i anyone can tell me how to post a pic in the text in the middle of a sentence that would be awesome. please come back and check in! thanks
