Flies dont eat trichomes do they?

There's like tiny little black flies in my grow closet and they're small, should I be worried about them eating the trichomes which are just about to form or no insect poses a threat to the trichomes?

This is for the kids.

WTH was that in? Lol. I saw it on film in food handlers school in 1966. Black and white film. People eating. A fly. Shows the guy shoo the fly away. Then back up for the closeup.

Fly lands on the bread. Rubs his legs and hurls on the bread. Then here comes the hand to shoo him away. Before the poor guy can even eat ya know? Next closeup Dad's bread is going in and going down.

dont worry about it. the flies are eating the bacteria on the soil. what you should worry about is the larvae eating your plant's roots.
