Ya that's the theory.Not sure how much of a difference it makes though.If nothing else it's the best way to hang them .

I thought they were hung just to let them dry properly, since them laying on a surface to dry you would have to flip them, and then they would get compressed and shit.

Drying them on a metal screen is also good
