Florescent Only Thread

I've been scouring through 100 CFL threads to find anything about growing with florescent lighting.

I feel florescent lighting is probably the best choice for vegging as it can cover a wide area with very little heat or electrical draw. This allows great cab grows (I have two grow cabinets) and I believe if done right can easily be good flowering lighting.

I'm starting this thread to share experiences in florescent grows.

I know that there are some long-winded very scientific threads on here regarding growing with florescents that are way above my head, and it'd be nice to just get some straight poop on growing weed from seed to harvest with florescent lighting....as always bud-porn is welcomed!

I've been growing with T5HO's for some yrs now with good success I personally feel it's far better than cfl's, low on elect consumtion ( 44W ) ( 2ft 2 bulbs ) due to little space but better coverage, just my opinion.

DeeTee......the most common complaint about florescent growing is that it gives a low yield and fluffy buds....have you found that to be the case?

Just out of curiosity, is the high and better with tight buds as opposed to fluffy buds. Sometimes I think the big tight buds are more a marketing ploy than an indicator of a better smoke.

To tell you the truth, I've never compared results with the two types of light, when I first started many, many yrs ago I used MH and HPS, today due to small space I've gone T5's and quite satisfied with the results, I'd have to go along with Haight, I think it's just a ploy, but that's just my opinion, either way the results is that at the end I have something to smoke and it's quite good and that's what counts.
