Flower time

Looks like a nice bud! Based on the one signal picture:), I would say it needs about 3 more weeks. You might try lowering your daylight hours down to 10 hours lights on and 14 hours lights off to encourage it to really finish up. From the picture, the stigma have begun to receed which is a good sign it's beginning to mature. After they receed the plant will start swelling internally. The bracts will begin to swell up, and the plant will pack on a notable amount of weight at this point. The stems will probably try bending over so make sure the biggest ones are supported. About 1-2 weeks after the pistils receed you will start to notice more difference in the trichomes. You didn't answer my question about how long its been since the plant started showing flowers.

84 days is 12 weeks....which is how long you said its been since you flipped to 12/12. So are you saying it began to make flowers in 3 days? 3 days would be crazy fast for the transition into flower. Typically it takes 7-21 days depending on genetics and environment. Your plant looks like it needs another 3ish weeks, you can call it whatever length of time you want.

Really it doesn't matter how many days you count or how many weeks it takes. The plant is not done until it finishes growing and ripens. Some sativas easily take 12-14 or more weeks from the time they begin to actually make flowers(not preflowers).

My guess would be temperature and genetics. But need more info, strain, temps, medium. Can be perfectly normal those times for some sativas. Dr grinspoon averages bout 16 week for example. Thats from first sign of flower, so 18 weeks from light change.
For these reasons i always prefer quick flowering plants, a breeder that states 8 weeks, i find takes usually 9-11 weeks from light change.
