Flowering Early? Been Vegging 25 days

I have been vegging my plant for 25 days now. It is at the 4th node. Does anyone have any examples or experience flowering this early? I'd like to hurry up and flower ASAP but I don't know if it is worth it. I would like to get at least 1 oz. Is this possible?

keep vegging man, flowering too early can greatly reduce your yield

In his book, GK flowered at 16 days and each of his plants yielded double or triple your 1 oz goal. It depends on your setup, genetics, and skill, but it definitely is possible.

Really?? That's awesome.. Anyone else have similar experiences? Come on guys, I want to start flowering tonight! Give me motivation!! I'm scared I'll only end up with like a gram or something. That's not possible right???

i started flowering mine at 17 days of veg but they were on the 5th-6th node. have to be done before the 20th of december so i had to go for it, the yield is reduced, well at least i get mature nugs

this is a newb question but how long should a plant veg before it is forced to flower?

your plant should be in vegetation for at least 3-4 weeks before switching to 12/12

It should have at least 3 nodes (according to what I just read from Garden Knowm)...

Some people decide on flowering when their vegging plants have reached 1/3rd the height of their growing space.
Ie: If your space is 6 feet in height, veg until your plant is 2 feet tall.

Some judge it on amount of nodes..
Ie: 4 nodes, time to flower

Some judge it on age..
Ie: it's been 4 weeks! Time to flower!

Some judge it one when they need their yield by..
Ie: This particular strain is best flowered for 10 weeks, and I have to move in 3 months so I better start flowering now!


It all depends...

Keep in mind.. the more the veg, the better the yield (in theory).

I started these at 25 days, While I don't know what yield to expect there's no way in hell I'll cop less than 1oz per plant, although I am expecting to achieve 65% of max yield for my strains, as you research and learn tricks you can get up to the genetic max yeild by:
Adding CO2, temperature control, Using good lighting and mixing spectrums, Proper nutrition for each stage of growth, and optimal PH are your top 5 things to effect yields. If you can keep them insect free, and slowly bring up your nutrients over time and correctly transition your plants into 12/12 and you will start seeing insane numbers like 2.5-4oz per plant. 1oz is easy to achieve with just good light and reasonable food supply.

No matter how long you decide to veg, make sure you will be able to give your plant proper light coverage. ICU is right, the longer you veg, the bigger the plant and potential yield (in theory). But CFLs have poor penetration, so the lights basically need to surround the plant to ensure it's receiving sufficient light, which becomes increasingly difficult the taller she grows. I would guess once you hit 3 or 4 feet, CFLs won't cut it. Some might say even that's too tall.

Btw you can buy a 400w hps for $119 High Tech Garden Supply or a 150w HPS for $32 e-conolight Official Home Page (ballast and bulb included, they are called "Vapor Tights" you can remove the shell with a screw driver). HPS lamps as stated before will increase your yield significantly. When using CFLs it's best to grow single cola plants because of light penetration issues (just a side note for future reference)

Okay that definitely sounds good. I would take anything 1oz+. I am going to put my plant into 12/12 cycle at 9:30 which is in a little over 30 minutes. Wish me luck!! Should I expect growth overnight? Thanks so much for the inspiration... This is my first grow and I had no idea it could be this easy to get your own weed.

You likely won't see growth overnight, but in the next few weeks you should see your plant rocket in size.

Hey, so last night was my first 12 hour night. She looks a little taller already, but that could be wishful thinking. Thanks for the advice.. I'm glad I decided to just go with what I have now for the experience instead of vegging longer. I also have three more seeds growing right now.. perhaps I will post pictures soon. Was kind of scared, but we'll see...

The first week they only grow a little (transition) soon after they will go nuts and grow as much as 2-4" a day, depends on how close you keep the lamp. If it's close they won't get as much height but will gain density (thicker limbs) instead. After about 2 weeks be prepared to keep a close eye on waterings/moisture I have 4 girls that drink over a gallon a day and they are 60days old .

Well she (hopefully) went back into the darkness at 9:30. Think good thoughts for my lil plant! Send good karma this way. I want my first grow to be successful. I can hardly wait.
