Flowering!!! Help with Nutes.

Hey guys, I have 5 Chernobyl plants outside in the CO sunshine. I and a really knowledgeable guy at my one stop garden shop realized over the weekend that I was probably long overdue for a repot. I repotted from about 3-4gl to a 5gl bucket pots yesterday which I must say was a bitch. Tried so hard to be gently, but not so sure I did the best job. They look good and should have enough room to finish their cycle. Anyways, to the point. I woke up this morning as was inspecting them for any signs of shock or whatnot after repotting them yesterday and I could see early signs of flowering on pretty much all 5. I'm not sure if this could have been from the repot due to shock, but I would assume that it's simply a matter of daylight hours shrinking since they're outside. So main question:

What nutes, in what combo (if at all), and for how long. I'm not completely unaware, but would appreciate feedback. I've used only Grow Big thus far and I would like some direction on where to go from here. Should I cease Grow big and go to Tiger Bloom. Should I do two weeks of mild Grow Big and then start Tiger Bloom. Maybe Grow Big for two weeks and then combo of Big bloom & Tiger Bloom. I'm gonna stick with FF for the rest of this grow so please just advice on FF nutes. I understand the basics so just looking for some further suggestions. Pysched for flowering!!! Thanks and Cheers!

Not really sure where your going with that sarcasm my friend. Want to elaborate cause the off the cuff remark doesn't really help me. Otherwise, thanks?

guess I'm still not sure where you were going with that. you mean like I should blame him for stressing my plants into flowering or something? I'm not sayin' he knows it all. But he helped me figure out what I should've already known. 2 months in 3-4gl pots is quite long enough. And the root balls showed. not bad just ready for a bigger space. I assume you mean go ask the guy about nutes. well I'm headin' there today after work so I'll get his advice if I catch him there, but yah know, more input makes for better decision making in the end. And yes I've seen the online feeding schedule pfd. Thanks.

Serious question here But why only repot in a slightly larger pot then you already had? Seems like alot of work on your part and stress on the plants part for minimal gain. Now if you would have went to 10 gallons i can see the effort being worthwhile. For example i transplanted from 5 gallon to 30 gallon smart pots back in june. I had to remove 1 plant that had been transplanted fror just about 10 days. In those 10 days the plants had pretty much filled the 30 gollon pot. Looking back i wish i had gone much larger to say 65 gallon or so. I'm sure your plants will be ok but i didn't and you probably don't realize how fast roots can fill a pot in. Now i know for the future plant.

I've found that Fox Farms actually has feeding schedules where they sell their products..The pamphlet I have says you cut back on the Big Bloom as you transition in to the Tiger Bloom. I went without the Big Bloom and did Alaska Fish Fert, which is good and cheaper. I'm now doing a mix of Alaska/Tiger/Molasses and will be cutting back the Alaska over the next two weeks until I'm just feeding Tiger Bloom for the last four weeks, then a week of just clean river water.

I'll adjust the nutes as needed. I'm able to keep a close eye on how they react to my feeding.

Hey thanks for the suggestions and input guys! NORCAL, yeah I would agree with you. They were probably closer to 3gl with the amount of soil in the pots so 2 gallons is a descent increase in space, at least according to the 1gl a month rule. Granted I think that rule is pretty subjective and considering I was behind in that effort anyways, I agree I should have gone big. Honestly repotting those girls was such a pain in the ass I'm regretting it a bit. But keep in mind I literally had no idea they would start showing signs of flowering this soon. Not only first outdoor grow, but first grow in general. Thought I had longer. CO growing season is a bit shorter than my home state of WA. PETERT, thanks for the suggestion. Yeah I have the pamphlet now after picking up Big Bloom and Tiger from the shop. I think I'll start with 2tsp/gallon of Big and 1tsp/gl of Tiger. Want to ease them in to it. What do you think? I'll check in the morning before I water. BILLY, I assume you're asking is it cool to grow outdoors or in plain sight? I'm sure there are people here who aren't as cool with it, but it is Boulder for god sake. I feel yah though. Better safe than sorry. Honestly quite a few people have seen them. All pretty legit trustworthy people though so I'm not too worried. Neighbors want to try some. I'm happy to help. And I should have my card by the end of the month. So we'll see. I'll be inside soon though with the frigid weather we get here. Secret Jardin, 120w, with two 63w Hydro Grow LED's. Any thoughts? I have another thread for that, but nonetheless. Cheers guys!

FYI, I started them off with a watering this morning of 2tsp/gallon of Big and 1tsp/gl of Tiger like I said above. The FF feeding schedule in the pamphlet recommended a tsp more for each, so I thought that would be a good amount to start out with so as not to burn or shock them. Especially after getting repotted on Sunday. Hopefully I'll start to see good bud development. Pretty psyched to have come this far and begin to witness the flowering stage. I've learned a lot from this first grow and I'm psyched to take that into the next round. I have 6 clones from the 5 plants (2 from one) and they're looking great! 3 fully rooted and planted and 3 still waiting for a bit more root development. We'll see how things go from here!

Go easy with the FF I've heard burn stories. Make sure you stop using two weeks before harvest and flush well. Next time go bigger I recently had to xfer from a 5 gal to 10 or 20 im not sure but I know the pain in the ass you're talking about. :-P

yeah man for sure. I think for the clones I have going right now, I'll be investing in a few 8gl maybe? I'll be inside after this current grow so not sure I'll need 10gl or bigger. But what's ur recommendation on transplanting. Would it be ok to go from like a 1 or 2 gl straight to the 5gl buckets I have now? I now I've read some on the issue but I remember some methodology around repotting. Any thoughts on that? Thanks for the input though I'll watch the FF nutes. After the watering and first round of Big Bloom and Tiger Bloom this morning, if i notice any adverse effects, I'll probably just keep the nute levels the same for the next feed but just add another 1/2 to 1gl of water so it's a bit more diluted.
