Flowering, how long before sex is noticable

I have been on a 12/12 light schedule now for ten days. Prior to that, i vegged for about 7 weeks or so. Still no sign of sex at all on either plant. Any ideas what's up or are they just late bloomers? :leaf:

Yeah, Some take up to 3 weeks to show once flipped on 12/12.

I would say keep up what you are doing and they will come.

ive just gone to 12/12, about 15 days or so ago, my plants had 8 wk veg under 19/5 and were showing signs of sex before i swiched.

what lighting u using, nutes etc? i would imagine if your plants aint had ideal veg conditions, not enough light, too little/too much nute then they will take longer to mature so it will take longer for signs of sex to show.

Lights: 4, 26watt cfls Nutes: since 12/12 switch im only using molasses with watering every other time. Other than the fact that the sex isnt determinable yet, they are quite healthy looking.

There's some pics :weed:
Nice looking plants. Hard to tell from the pics, but are you useing the same bulbs you vegged with? Flowering plants like more of the red spectrum, in the 2700 - 3000k range. If you haven't changed them, it is probably that, and being sativa dominant, that's making it take so long. You'll also want to increase the light for flowering - the more light, the better your harvest will be.:peace:

Thanks! Yes and no, for vegging i only had 2 26w cfls once i switched to 12/12 i added 2 more. Do you think i should try to get another one or two in there to help out? And what would be the best bulb (cheap, im trying to stick with cfls) to get the closest to optimum flowering conditions?

I like the 27w CFL's, you can get them in 2700K (perfect for flowering). Home Depot, Lowes, places like that are your best bet - I get a four pack of 27w at lowes for $12.00. They definately like more light when flowering!

It takes my sativas an average of 2 weeks sometimes longer to show sex... be patient. The boys almost always show before the girls so this may not be a bad thing...

i am currently flowering one plant under 1-26w, and 3-13w 2700k cfls. id say its enough, but more is better when it comes to light.
