So last night was my plant's first night of darkness.

Today is their first day of HPS, at 7am this morning.

i am doing my res change today, with the flowering nutes.. what should my ppm be @ for flowering?

Which nutes are you using Ms. Kate? (I wasn't about to go through all 57 pages looking sorry) Most of the companies have a guide on their website to follow. Let me know which company, and I'll look for the proper chart for you.

OK General hydroponics does not have it on their site. So much for "Leading innovator in the field of hydroponic technology"

So here is Email's chart from the quoted thread and it is very close to what I use for Canna.

That said - here are some guidelines to get you started:
Week 1 - PPM: 0
Week 2 - PPM: 0-300
Week 3 - PPM: 3-500
Week 4 - PPM: 5-700
Week 5 - PPM: 7-900
Week 6 - PPM: 9-1000
SWITCH TO 12/12 LIGHTING AND BLOOM NUTES (this is just an example you don't have to switch to 12/12 now)
Week 7 - PPM: 3-400 (note the drop after switching nutrients)
Week 8 - PPM: 4-500
Week 9 - PPM: 5-600
Week 10 - PPM: 6-700
Week 11 - PPM: 7-800
Week 12 - PPM: 8-900
Week 13 - PPM: 9-1000
Week 14 - PPM: 10-1100

Remember to subtract your waters original ppm from these totals.

I have used G.H. Flora Nova and their regular micro series. The chart is for Flora Nova.
Note that you can continue using veg nutes for the first week or two of flowering. I think the reason behind this is the plants will still be in "grow mode". Of course, I usually go right to the bloom nutes! One word of caution, when you switch your nutes - you should drop the PPM down to where you were when you first started vegging. (see chart) But you can increase the amount of PPM a lot faster during bloom.

I should also add that is my own schedule!! I will post G.H.'s guidelines as soon as i get a chance (probably start a new thread so be on the look out for it).

EDITED: added URL
i did start a new thread but here is the info you are looking for:

Don't forget that when u consider ppms for nutes u shouldalso take into consideration the strain. I run my nutes up to about 1600 in the flowering phase. i never drop my nutes down as much in the chart when I switch between veg to flower. I usually go as follows: Week 1 250
week 2 450
week 3 650
week 4 850 - 900 clone and
change res...to flower nutes
week 5 750 -800
week 6 1000
week 7 1250
week 8 1400
I keep nutes around 1400 to 1600 ppms until week 10 week 11 i drop back to 1000 and week 12 500 then i give one xtra week before i harvest at straight water to get rid of the chem taste. Now i'm not saying this is the best way but u should run ur nutes to whatever they can take. if they start burning back a couple hundred ppms or take em back to where they wer before they started burning. BTW i also use GH flora series.

Does it make any difference that my ppm right before the switch to flowering was not 1000? it was like 600 which is what i think it is right now. around 650?

no ur ppms are ur own (and ur plants personal preference). U feed them as much as they can take or however u want as long as they dont start to experience deficiencies

yeah it basically depends on your plants needs. some strains can take more nutes than others. my white widow right now is at 5 weeks and im at 1200-1300 ppm. i changed my res today and mixed in my new products i got today. Botanicares Sweet and Liquid Karma, along with pro bloom and pro bloom soil. made a nice new fresh solution for my ladies. hope they start pounding. Berry flavored White Widow. i think i wanna call it Barry White. any comments? lol
