Flowering time using cfl's

Hey guys I was thinking does using cfl lights make the plant grow slower than compared to using a strong hps light.
I ordered an auto plant and it said on the site it takes about 8 to 9 weeks for the plant to be ready to harvest.
I hope it won't take an extra month to grow it because I am using cfl's.

Of course it's slower. Cfls don't have any power to them for flowering.

It takes a lot longer with cfls. My grandpa used to grow with those, he started late, he was in his early forties when he popped his first bean. I still remember that day I musta been ten or eleven years old. He died 2 years ago at the age of 81 thats 7months before i harvested that seed I mentioned earlier. The moral of the story is , if you grow with cfls you're probably going to die before you harvest anything..

Well this plant I grew all with cfl's and it took about 4 or 5 monts. So that pretty much answers the question. It does slow growth rate but it does work.

YES I already read that quote that is completely untrue. I harvested over 10 plants using cfl's and mg with no problems at all.
Do you see the pics I posed. It took 4 or 5 months for them to harvest. So obviously your wrong.

Whatever you do Eduardo, make sure you create a journal to document your grow.


We all want to see how this turns out.

Sorry if I stepped on your toes by reposting that quote, but I thought it was funny as hell. I really hope all goes well with the grow and l will try to follow your progress. I think I speak for some of the more sarcastic growers in saying we hope that plant matures fast so you will have some smoke and chill out when people pull your chain, no
to you but I like it when strangers give me a load of craps. It makes me think they like me ( secretly ).

Been doing cfl for years with gr8 success in fact this one is 6 days into flower and I never went over 8 weeks before harvest so someone don't know wtf they are talking about.
