flowering time?

ok so they say that some sativa strains take a long time to flower.

does this apply to male and female?

like, does it just take a long time to flower, if its a female.

or does it take a long time to show sex, generally, male or female?

you should be able to tell sex within the first two or three weeks of flowering.
males get pulled immediately and only the females are allowed to grow.
the longer flowering time is typical of sativas.
sometimes plants take longer to show sex, but this is no indication of what the sex will be.

Yup and usually (being from my experience thus far and im not a pro or anything) but seems that Males show before females.
