So i have three plants growing in net pots in an ebb n flow system. The problem is that one of the plants is significantly turning earlier then the other plants... Since im using net pots the roots all covering the entire flood table and i dont know how i am going to flush out the plant thats ready to be harvested first.

Can i cut the roots straight around the net pot and just flush it for 2 weeks in a seperate table... Or will this cause the plants harm cutting its roots shorter??? And also will the roots that i cut off cause problems to the other plants in the ebb n flow (for instance will they rot if i leave them intertwined in the other roots??? Please help thanks....

that is the reason most ebb/flowers doing SOG use solid 5" pots...

There is plenty of room inside the pot...

But to answer you question...

If you are VER careful, you may be able to untagle most of the root mass..

You WILL be hurting all the plants whose roots you break, and you will, but they should recover if you are VERY careful...

As for the root matter let in your mats, yes, it will rot and potentially cause all sorts of disease...

I recommend you look into enzymes that break down dead root matter as to avoid just that problem...

I use Hygrozyme in my res...

Best advice I can give you.. is next time, get bigger pots and keep the roots inside...

Hope this helps...

Cheers and good luck...

OH!.. another option is to let the one plant go all the way to maturity...

A few extra weeks won't hurt it... but might turn it into medicine... knock out weed lol...

Yes i agree that they are not ready for flushing yet.... This was on week 5 and now its week 7, The smallest one in the middle is about 50 percent brown on the cola, and the others are showing no signs of it yet.
So I'm just trying to figure things out now before it's too late. Thanks for the advise on what to do... It's much appreciated. This is my first grow and its all a learning process so next time i wont use the net pots and keep the roots inside the pot.
Right now i'm leaning on carefully removing as much as the root mass as i can and just snippin the tough spots i cant remove (there is a huge maze a couple inches thick in the table so should be tough to do).
Another idea is what if i just snip the root mass off around the net pot just for the flush... Will the buds hurt from this??

honestly, my advice is to leave it well alone and have one really ripe plant...

cutting roots is not a good idea..

touching them is not a good idea...

breaking them is no better....

If you happen to cut or break one of the main tap roots (very likely to happen) you will stress the fuck out of the plant... like cutting off the main supply line...

Don't do too much and fuck it up...

Leave it alone and, like I said, have 1 fully ripe plant at the end...

Who knows, you may decide that you like it better that way and have your next crops be super ripe as well...

I'm sure it will be ok, whatever you do...

Oh and a lot people here think I am kinda rude...

I apologize if I seem that way...

I am just a very direct person, and it comes off as rude on the forums...

I am just starting to realize and will improve...lol....

But I assure you.. I am chillin... and mean no disrespect...

To me it's passing raw data.. just info... no feelings..lol...

Ya i was kinda thinking about your idea.... Better to just leave the small one ripe then to mess up the entire crop.....
Thanks for your advise this will be a good experience to see and taste...

Oh and i don't find you rude i appreciate you telling me the raw facts, Rather that then be nice and have my crop go to shit haha

Take care much Respect

I concur with the idea of letting it ripen out. In case you were still undecided. You won't ruin that fucker unless it goes a good 3 or 4 weeks passed totally ripe and I HIGHLY doubt the others will take that long to catch up to being done.
