Flowering To Early

hey guys, i just planted some new seeds (outside) and they began to flower way to early, they wer approx 2 1/2 weeks old wen they started flowering which sux! So my question is how do i stop them from flowering until i want them to?

On my first grow my plants flowered by themselves at the perfect stage which was awesome but this new strain sux and i need to no how i can keep them in vegetative state until i want to flower them??

Are you SURE it's flowering? Most are happy to see a flower on a new seedling but if you wish to stop it, Bring'em inside and put under 24/0 lighting.....

Yes there defiantly flowering the white hairs are like 1cm long, and i had the idea to bring them inside aswell but i dont want to restrict the roots to the size of the pot cause ill be planting outside in the ground

Or you can just leave them outside and let them go back to veg by themselves.. The hours of the day are getting longer. Or you can take clones and start over again.

I didnt think a seedling could flower, thought they had to be more mature then that. The only exception I can think of is AutoFlowering strains, What strain are you growing? There's a hormone the plants produce that make them flower, Light kills that hormone. The longer the dark period, the more that hormone builds up. Once it hits the critical level it triggers the plant to flower. Right now, the dark period outside is long enough to let that hormone reach critical levels. Where Im at the light wont be right to veg untill the middle of next month. If I were you, I'd transplant into pots. That way you can keep them in the sun during the day, and bring them inside at dusk. You wouldnt need anygrow lights, The sun will give them enough energery. You just want to get them out of the dark to keep the hormone from building up...

Cheers for the reply man thats a good idea +rep, now wen u say take them inside do u just mean leave them in a room with the rooms light on? would it work if i just left the outside light on for a few extra hours after it gets dark?? The outiside light is one of those fluro lights with the two tubes and theres two lights outside so it lights up the whole back patio pretty well

Yeah outside lights would work also, You just want to get the plant out of the dark. If you can see the plant with your outside lights on, it's enough light to keep it from flowering.. Like you said, you wouldnt have to leave them on all night. Just long enough to cut the dark period down to about 10hrs...

Also try using ferts that are high in nitrogen that will help with ur green growth, that might help a little to revert back to veg, along w/ keeping them out of the dark, now idk where ur from but winter type sun is the same everywhere, its farther from the earth so the sunlight isnnt as adiquit as spring/summer sun. Also the days beinng shorter doesnt help, but honestly you shouldent worry longer days are right around tthe corner so you can just let the plant do its thing and let it convert back into veg once the sun stays out for longer. But my guess is ur just seein preflowers not full on flowering, which is commin when you have a period of darkness instead of 24hrs of light while vegging.
