So today is the end of Week 1 in a 12/12 cycle seeing some hairs and stuff appearing but i was looking at the big fan leaves and i see how some kind of block the light of some smaller ones. I was reading here and there about trimming fan leaves at the beginning of flowering can be good when the buds and little leaves pop up. SOme people say yeah go for it while some say DON't.

Just wanted to know on what you guys think about all this? Also if i do trim, do i just cut the whole leaf off from the where the node starts or like half of the leaf??

PICS will be up when im done doing laundry...

You will get different opinions concerning defoliation of water leaves. Fan leaves are like the power plants of the plant. That is where a lot of photosynthesis occurs. I only take off fan leaves if they are compomised more than 50% for instance later stages of flowering. When I choose to LST, if I want to be more intimate with the plant, I will defoliate if the fan leaf totally obstructs the growth nodes but I usually can tie the fan leaf away from the growth nodes. You could always try defoliation like others recommend and try not defoliating and compare the results.
