Flowering With HPS+MH??

Yo, Ill be short~

Im hoping that there is someone out there who can answer this.If I were to use two bulbs for flowering, should i use one HPS and one MH? or should i go for both HPS. Assuming that quality is more important then quantity. ;) Im sure there are many out there who have used MH and can argue that it is just as good (a far as quality) if not better for flowering. If anyone has any links to any info on the subject please let me know

One of each is ideal because you'll get the full colour spectrum. I was using both for flowering until I up'd the flower to a 1000w hps. Now I use the hps and mh for my vegging; 400w each.

do u think it would be better even though the two 400w hps's would be 110000 lumens (55000 Each). and the 400w HPS + MH would only be about 90000 lumens (55000 + 35000). If the spectrum difference trumps the lumens increase then it would def be the way to go! ;) Thank you everyone for the help.

*and does anyone have any info or threads about flowering with MH? ;)

See this is exctly what i as talking about. ;) There are soo many diferent opinions out there on this subject. Whether or not MH+HPS would be better for flowering then just HPS. There has to be some info outhere on the subject, and someone out ther has to know!!

I flower with a 400 hps and a 400 MH. I think its just perfect. All my grows look and are really good and i couldnt be happier. Well i could always be happier. I just like the complete spectrum deal. Im not all technical and shit, thats just way i am. I can say that i used to flower with a 1000 hps and my 2 x 400 grows look and are alot better. I never used MH till last year always just flos , cfls and hps. MH is pretty awsome and with the 2 together is just fucking amazing. Go with the combo man, you wont be disapointed.

I have been using both HPS + MH for 2 years now......MH emits more UV light which is VERY good for resin quality.... compared to HPS which gives out almost none. HPS has been said to give a higher overall yeild but UV is a MUST in my oponion for better resin quality.....I HIGHLY recommend a combo of both despite the minor difference in overall LUMEN output

This is why im hoping to get a more people involved in this debate. I have heard good points from both sides. But quality is more important to me then quanity. ;) Even with the enhanced blue spectrum HPS i dont think it could be as strong in blue as MH.

Thanks for the link! i will def be checking it out. Also do u think that a cooled hood with tempured glass would take all of the uv away from the bulb of just a little of it?
