If my strain is supposed to be done flowering in 2 months is that how long I should wait before harvest? Do I have to wait the full 2 months?

If the breeder recommends 8 weeks of flowering then you start counting when the flowers begin to form.

Or you wait around 10-11 weeks of 12/12. But check plants for ripeness after around week 9 of 12/12.

Flowering times are approximates based on breeders finding early harvesting phenos and late harvesting phenos. Usually they quote the earliest possible harvest time based on a phenotype that finished the quickest in their trials.

I heard for every month you plan to grow you need a gallon of space for it

Depends entirely on your choice of medium.

Soil - I can believe it.

Soiless - nope not really I can grow plants in coco in a 1 gallon pot all their life but watering multiple times per day is a bitch.

Hydro - how? You’re dealing with water.

I'm planning a new grow in a 3x3 I'm going to give 4 plants a try so I'm looking for the right size pots. Right now I'm in 2 7 gallons overkill
