flowering

This is my first time at trying to grow a little stash. I have one plant growing outside and would like some info on what to look for when the little lady starts flowering. I know that she is in the flower stage now, but what should it look like when it starts? I need to know how far along the stage is. I can't post pics at this time, but if anyone can tell me what the plant looks like when the flowering starts, I can go back to my journal and look at the pics that I have there to figure out how long she has been in this stage. Thanks in advance for any info that you can give me. As soon as I am able to post a few picks, I sure will show off my "Pride and Joy".

You look for the white hairs growing out of the flowers....
