Flowering ?

is the tree continues to grow upward when forced to flower

when a plant flowers, it'll grow roughly 2-3 times its size, be forewarned!!

I recently flipped my a bunch of ladies I was taking clones from...then left for 2 weeks on business. When I came back they had grew 18"! They seem to really stretch out too...more than I wanted. Is this the product of the HPS or something else?

depends on the strain most at least double, some go crazy.

I think it will flower as soon as it has branches if it is brought up in flowering light cycles (Fall), in about 2-2.5 weeks it will show white hairs and the white V if its a girl or little pods if its a male. So you could flower a 2 week old plant, and in another 2 weeks you can tell its sex. This is good if you take a clone off your plant when vegetating, flower it to determine sex and then you know whether to keep it or get rid of it.

Here is a pic of my girl at 7 weeks old (cloned), she is really starting to get heavy now...!

You don't force flowering like you do in veg dude. You let the plant do it's thing in flowering.

depending on the strain anywhere from 56 days on up.

Every strain has diff. flowering times,, just find out what you have then go on that site and find out what time period it has,,, but,,, like you will eventually find out,, its not an exact science,, just go by how the plant looks,,, you will need a cheap 11 dollar microscope from radio shack ,, I cant beleive I tryed to grow without one,, unless you have better,, just go by the trichomes to see when they are done and you wont regret it,, I promise....
