Flowering

ok on my plant the 9 leaves are now just comming in and im wondering when i should go into flowering.... and when do i know if its a male or female i mean ive seen no little balls or anything .... and veg stage needs at least_________ lumens and flowering needs at least____________ can someone fill in the blanks for me?

you wont see signs of sex until you start flowering. It takes about a week and a half to start seeing sex after you start 12/12 and the males usually show it first.


if 9 petaled leaves are coming in, you should be good to flower. I flowered when my plants were 5 weeks old and about a foot tall so use your judgement.

as for lumens, no idea. check the growFAQ.

its not really too tall though but im good to go? its kinda like a little bush i can try to get some pix

pix would help, but its really you're call in the end. the longer you veg, the more bud you yeild, but keep in mind if you have space issues that your plant is going to triple in size. i knew i only had 3 feet to work with so i flowered at a foot.

toasted oats what was the final size your plant reached when you harvested?

I have a ? that is kinda off topic but relating to the same thing! you can flower with cfl's right? and keep the same distance away as i did during veg just 12/12 right?
