hi, is it okay to transplant to larger pots just before you flick lights to 12/12? and it wont create more hermies or males due to possible shock? thanks, sorry if dumb question.

As long as you don't damage/break roots, it shouldn't stress the plant.

agreed... if your medium is freshly watered it will make the soil (or coco, or whatever) clump together more. And that sticking together that the soil does will help to shield and protect your roots during transfer.
To tell you the truth... I always transfer to larger containers before I flip to 12-12. You don't want her to get root bound in the 4th week of flower, and you don't wanna hafta transplant a plant thats enormous and a pain in the ass.
