Take a couple mistlets of water? I have my dwc cloner set up pretty close to the light and I'm afraid when doing daily maintenance water will get on the light and I'll lose my only veg lamp. Obviously, it's not a ridiculous amount of water.. just the tiny little specs that airstones throw up.

Im not sure about the tubes but water has somehow melted up some of my spiral 67watt cfl's i used to have. They got wet (misted) while on and the next day the glass in the spiral had turned black in a water mist pattern with random melted bubbles. So yeah, dont get em wet.

The main danger of getting water on (properly installed) bulbs is the sudden shock from temp change, by and large don't do it. But you're safer on tubes than almost any other bulb. Though if nothing else, you're hurting your lumens ;)

Easiest way to spray with t5s is to shut the light off, spray, then lights back on. I like to wait a few hours after but 30 mins should be good
