Fluoro for seedlings

I have 1 100w 1600 lumen fluoro light in a reflective dome lamp. If all my seedlings are in 1 sq. foot of space, can that one bulb support growing the seedlings until they are ready for my MH bulb?

Also, about when should I switch to the MH bulb and is there an estimate as to how high it should be (i have thermometers at seed level so if you have a temp range for MH lights that would work too).

Id say so if you rotate your plants it would work but Id fire up the halide as soon as possible.You just set it a little high when they are young...peace
