Flushing before flower with the Lucas system?

I've been vegging for about 4 weeks so it's almost time to do the flush before flowering that Lucas suggests. My question is this... Is this flush absolutely necessary? I ask this because I've seen some people say that flushing isn't necessary unless you're having some sort of symptoms/deficiencies that call for flushing. Also I think that it's important to add that I'm using bubble buckets and I'm not using the water replacement method, I'm doing the nute addback. I haven't changed out any of my buckets since day 1 and they all still look really clean

Anyone care to give their opinion?

Yep, if you don't add any fresh water, the water will store all the nutes not being used and will become toxic to the plant.

I'd go for at least one full day, if not two, then replace with your bloom nutes starting at the same ppm you left off with from the veg nutes.

Hey Flo should I flush for a day or two when I transition to 12/12 ??? I will be starting 12/12 tonight and I did a res change last night and started using the bloom nutes.

I like the thought of an RO water flush. I know that the EC of RO water will be less than the EC of the water contained in the plant, so that in theory,an RO flush will be more effective because it's essentially going to try to draw the remaining nutrients out of the plant for a stronger flush.
