flushing soil or perlite before using

i was wondering about mostly miracle grow soil and/or perlite. i guess it could be for anything with nutrients in it. would it be wise to flush them under tap water for a bit before using them? to help get rid of the added nutrients in them. cause miracle grow potting soil has a lot of time released nutrients and i was wondering if i flush it for a bit under tap water, will this help get rid of some of them. also the perlite has some nutrients in it, and same as the soil, flushing under tap water to help flush out some of those nutrients. is this wise? thanks

k well i had my plant in a pure soil mixture, and it was about time to water so it was pretty easy to get the plant out of the pot for a minute and i mixed in some perlite. the soil wat like stuck to the roots tho and i didnt want to rip the soil off the roots and posibly damage the roots by doing this so i just left it, and hopefully when the roots grow they will attach to the perlite'd soil. we'll see how my drainage is now.

This is old...But ...

there so much on SOil..and half of it is pointless.

What i got from that last half hour!!..

Buying..Scots soil..mixing it w/ perlite with my bare sexy hands...

and that is fucking it right!?!?

although i did see "organic soild made out of earthworm castings"....

is this meant to be a mixture? or the sole soil to grow in?
