Foil for more light

I am growing one plant indoors here in a few days in a small room. I have two grow light bulbs in one socket in a desk lamp but they don't look all that strong. I read somewhere foil will help strengthen the light. Also read where painting the inside of the fabric pot with flat white paint will work. Any suggestions?

Aluminium foil is really poor at reflecting light your flat white paint is much better @80/85% reflective.

@Kushash have you ever had a hot spot or is it something you've only read about?

Took a quick look using the search using:

I prefer edu sights and trying a few different searches I found nothing so far on the EDU'S.

Doing the search without edu brought up some links including this one from 2011 here on RIU. Post 11 from Great White could be correct IDK.


Okay -- exactly how does aluminum foil create "hot spots" anyway?

How does aluminum create hot spots anyway? Isn't that a problem that happens only with high-power lights like hps? Can cfl cabs use aluminum foil?
